Jollibee’s Maaga ang Pasko now on its 20th Year
November 14th, 2014 — New Brews, Promos / Events
Christmas is just around the corner! The Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko toy and book drive is back with the theme “ang pinakamaaga, pinakamahaba at pinakamalaking Pasko“.
To bring this concept to life as they celebrate its 20th year, celebrities shared in their time and talents to highlight the campaign.
New Brew: Jollibee Creamy Shakes
May 1st, 2014 — Affairs, Beverage, Casual, Cravings, Cuisine, Dessert, Filipino, Fusion, New Brews, Promos / Events, Quick Service, Restaurants, Sweet Shops, Western
A brand new beverage for a brand new month! Aside from the scorching summer heat, that must be what Jollibee had in mind when they decided to introduce the Jollibee Creamy Shakes today – May 1.
It was good timing as well since May 1 is a holiday in the Philippines. For sure most families would be on the road or in the malls right about now having a good time….and perhaps sharing a meal or two in a Jollibee store. 🙂
Jollibee Creamy Shakes
So what are these “creamy shakes“? They come in a fresh-looking blue paper cup, a contrast from the usual red and white Jollibee theme. The first variant is made with chocolate goodness and topped with a rich Hershey’s Chocolate syrup. If you have the sweet tooth and loves chocolates, this is for you.
It’s also available in strawberry flavor which is a mix of vanilla soft-serve with strawberry syrup. I prefer the strawberry more over the chocolate as per taste.
I tried mixing the two and the result was awesome. I loved it even more! My Chocoberry Creamy Shake! 😛 Both flavors are priced at P39 per serving but you can save some more if you pair it with some of Jollibee’s regular combo meals.
Jollibee Combo Meals
You can add the creamy shakes with you favorite Jollibee combo meal such as the following :
- Regular Yum + Regular Crispy Fries + Jollibee Creamy Shake = Php 89
- Regular Yum with Cheese + Regular Jolly Crispy Fries + Creamy Shake = Php 99
- Jolly Hotdog Classic + Regular Fries + Jollibee Creamy Shake = Php 99
I really love their recent dessert offering called Jollibee Kit Kat Mix-Ins which I have been ordering quite frequently the past few weeks. The creamy shake is a good alternative, however it’s categorically a beverage and not a dessert and it doesn’t have crushed ice with it as much as I have hoped.
So check out the Jollibee branch nearest you and try their creamy treat with the all new Jollibee Creamy Shakes! Both chocolate and strawberry flavors are now available in all Jollibee branches nationwide until June 30, 2014.
Jollibee Christmas TVC & the Filipino OFW
December 5th, 2013 — Affairs, Promos / Events
Have you seen the latest Jollibee TVC? Obviously themed for the Christmas season tapping on theme of the Filipino OFW, the TVC was entitled “Noel“.
The Gift of “Noel“
It starts with an OFW father who just came back to the Philippines and is eager to see his family whom he missed for two Christmases. On his way home via a taxi cab, the elderly driver happens to miss his own son who is similarly an OFW. Instantly a connection was made. The OFW father surprised their children by meeting up with his wife in a Jollibee branch and at the same time serve as a welcome-back home celebration. Knowing the driver’s predicament, the OFW father invited the taxi cab driver over to join their celebration with the encouraging words “Tara ‘tang, kami ngayon ang pamilya mo.“
Merry “Noel”
On first impressions, this is something to be expected from Jollibee, a Filipino food brand. They know that the Filipino viewers will relate to the TV ad since they are avid dramatic family-themed teleserye (tv series) viewers. They love watching tear-jerker movies and stories which ends with a “happily ever-after” conclusion.
But to be honest, I was watching the video with tears being held in my eyes. I didn’t exactly have an ideal family set up decades ago so I know how much a complete family can mean for those who are lacking. In addition, Christmas, which starts as early as September in the Philippines, is the most important holiday season in this native country. Moreover, the OFW theme is considered among the most divine and noble. It is a family-oriented sacrifice too much to bear, but nonetheless necessary due to circumstance. This is the reason you would find a large number of OFWs coming back home for Christmas – it shows how they value their family.
Indeed, Christmas is merrier in the Philippines specially with the whole family.
I can relate to the Jollibee Christmas TVC “Noel” as it touches Filipino hearts with an OFW theme. How about you, what is your Jollibee Christmas story?
New Jollibee Bacon Mushroom Champ + Thor Hammer USB = Extraordinary
October 16th, 2013 — Affairs, Casual, Cravings, Cuisine, Filipino, Fusion, New Brews, Promos / Events, Quick Service, Restaurants, Where To Eat
What an extraordinary combination. I just found out that the new Jollibee Bacon Mushroom Champ being offered in all Jollibee branches around the country comes with Thor’s Hammer – Mjolnir – USB flashdrive!
Mjolnir: Thor’s Hammer
With Thor – The Dark World movie  coming up in theaters next week on October 30, this collaboration by Jollibee and Marvel’s Thor (and his hammer) comes just at the right time. Thor fans will surely buy this package even just for the hammer USB alone. 😛
New Jollibee Bacon Mushroom Champ
On other hand, foodies will love this new offering by Jollibee, with or without the freebie toy. The Champ just got a level-up with a lot of bacon strips, a generous dose of cheese sauce, and a dash of mushroom that complements the 1/3 pounder 100% pure beef hamburger patty. I suddenly had a flashback of the Jollibee Ultimate Burger Steak Meal. 😛
With every purchase of the solo Jollibee Bacon Mushroom Champ (Â P 129 ) or the combo meal ( P165Â ), you can buy the extraordinary 1G Thor Hammer USBÂ for P95; This is already a good catch since an ordinary 1G USB already retails at about he same price in the market.
Catch this Jollibee Thor Hammer USB promotion now as it starts today and end on November 16, 2013. Of course, I will surely catch the Thor movie  ‘The Dark World’ as well! 🙂
Jollibee Ultimate Burger Steak Meal: “The Champ” meets “The Burger Steak”
March 1st, 2013 — Affairs, Alabang, Batangas, Casual, Cebu, Cravings, Cuisine, Davao, Filipino, Fusion, Greenhills, Iloilo, Las Pinas, Makati, Mandaluyong, Manila, Naga, New Brews, Nomnom Loves, Ortigas, Paranaque, Pasay, Pasig, Promos / Events, Quezon City, Quick Service, Restaurants, Rizal, Singapore, SouthEast Asia, Tagaytay, Taguig, The Fort, Western, Where To Eat
This is for the hardworking men and women of today. Regardless from which industry you come from, you deserve to reward yourself from time. This Friday and  weekend is a good start as the salary also just came in. 🙂 Reward yourself with Jollibee’s new Ultimate Burger Steak!
The Ultimate Burger Steak Meal
From the same food chain who gave you the Chicken Joy, Breakfast Joys, the 39ers, and the more recent Grilled Pork Tenders, Jollibee offers something new for the hefty foodies – the Ultimate Burger Steak Meal.
Without having to wait for 5 to 10 minutes anymore, Jollibee supersized their burger steak meal into a pan-grilled 1/3 lb. CHAMP patty, smothered with mushroom gravy, mushroom slices, and a dash of toasted garlic on top. A bed of crunchy french fries supports the ultimate patty from below while a  a sunny-side-up egg rests on a serving of rice on the side.
Priced at P109 for solo and P119 with drink, I say this is one power-filling meal for the demanding appetite.
NomNom Verdict
Together with a group of foodie bloggers, we got to take first dibs of this new offering in an intimate gathering at their Research and Development Center in Ortigas.
It was a filling treat of 100% Pure beef but it didn’t stop me from being among those who finished the whole serving in just a few minutes (including photo-taking, instagraming, twitting with #TheUltimateMeal, and Facebook-ing; have you seen the photos of Jollibee Singapore circulating around Facebook yesterday? They said it’s located at the 4F of the Lucky Plaza. 🙂 ).
Back to the ultimate story, it’s “The Champ” meets “The Burger Steak” kind of thing and consuming them altogether. 🙂 I was quite hungry then but I held half the rice; the rest disappeared in an instant, nonetheless.
I would also like to share the same sentiment of another food blogger last night – Melo from Pinoy Cravings, that the combination of the french fries and the mushroom gravy (which spills over to the fries) made an interesting combination you might also want to try.
Available all day, come and celebrate with Jollibee the ultimate 35th year anniversary with the Ultimate Burger Steak Meal to satisfy your ultimate cravings! 🙂
Fun with Greenwich Barkada & Jollibee University Floats
October 15th, 2012 — Affairs, Casual, Cravings, Cuisine, Dessert, Filipino, Fusion, Promos / Events, Quick Service, Restaurants, Sweet Shops, Western
Rockeoke Dinner with the Greenwich Barkada and Crispy Chicken
It was a fun night of music, good food, and bonding. It was my second Rockeoke Night with the Greenwich Barkada a few weeks ago at the Greenwich Katipunan branch in celebration of the successful campaign of the Greenwich Crispy Chicken.
As expected, the program started with hesitant singers who just need some prodding before they gave in. I’m always game for these things but not that night because I think I was about to get the flu. But just  like in high school, we sometimes give in to peer pressure. 🙂 I was actually with my fellow blogger and fiance Marjorie so we gave a duet just like what we did the first time a few months ago, but with a more daring song this time around.
The Greenwich team was also very game as they joined us in taking turns with the microphone. Thanks to “Ang Banda Ngayon” who supported us all through the fun night. The lady DJs also  joined us in the rockeoke.
Congratulations again to Greenwich for their successful Greenwich Crispy Chicken campaign. May Greenwich continue bringing about innovative a great-tasting products for its customers. Check them out at http://www.greenwich.com.ph/ ; Greenwich delivery is 5-5555.

The Jollibee University Floats are available for only P28 (regular) or P38 for a giant size. You can also upgrade any regular value meal to Go Float just by adding P21.

Have you seen the recent Jollibee commercial? It showed today’s busy and hardworking moms finding it a challenge to get home in time and prepare for a special family dinner. So the father and the kids tried to take on the chore of cooking and the kitchen ended up in a mess, and still without dinner.
When the mother came home, she comforted the family that they could always order through the 8-7000 Jollibee Express Delivery hotline. 🙂 The advertisement highlighted that serving delicious meals can be enjoyed by the whole family with just a phone call.
“Whether daddy wants a piece of crispylicious Chickenjoy, kuya craves for a bite of Champ, ate loves the tasty and meaty Jollibee Spaghetti or bunso wants a delightful cup of Chocolate sundae, busy moms can have all these delivered right at their doorsteps in time for dinner.“
