Jazz Mall

For about three weeks now, the bustling area of Bel-Air near Buendia/Gil Puyat Avenue (Makati) has been jazzed-up with the new SM Hypermakret Jazz. Located at the ground floor of the newly risen Jazz Residences condominium by SMDC, it has made grocery & shopping easily accessible for the surrounding urban workforce, nearby schools and residents along Nicanor Garcia corner Jupiter streets.

SM Hypermarket Jazz opened its doors last September 12, 2013. It played host to a big celebration of sorts as attended by the Honorable Makati Mayor Jejeomar Binay Jr. and celebrities Gerogina Wilson and Aljur Abrenica. They made an appearance and spiced up the already excited crowd. We also witnessed the soft opening of the Jazz Mall where the supermarket is also located.

From the success of last year’s SM Master Chefs, SM Hypermarket launches SM Master Chefs 2012 in a festive gathering of top brands, media, and bloggers at SM Hypermarket Cubao last August 16, 2012.

The grand launch in SM Hypermarket was participated in by SM Master Chefs brands namely Unilever, San Miguel, Nestle, Bounty Fresh, and CDO.

This year’s SM Master Chefs has three (3) main components: the Recipe Contest, the Cooking Marathon, and the Carinderia Makeover.

Recipe Contest

SM Master Chefs recipe contest was conceptualized with the SM Hypermarket customer in mind and it is easy to participate in.

Just buy your ingredients at SM Hypermarket and whip up a great tasting and, if possible, a unique recipe using any of the SM Master brands. You are then now eligible to join and get the chance to win and be hailed as one of the thirty three SM Master Chefs for 2012. Just bring your finished product to any SM Hypermarket store on judging day.

Cooking Marathon

A big hit from last year’s SM Master Chefs was the cooking marathon, it is included again in this year’s program to the delight of the grocery shoppers who witness these beneficial and knowledge-enriching cooking demonstrations by the master brand chefs.

It is brought back this year with new recipes from master brands Bounty Fresh, CDO, Nestle, Purefoods, Magnolia and Unilever Food Solutions – Knorr. Each will have a featured chef who will go around the 34 branches of SM Hypermarket every week in three months (which started August 21) for cooking demonstrations. The best thing about this is that they are for free!

SM Hypermarket Cainta Now Open!

SM Hypermarket brought life to a gloomy, rainy day last August 14, 2012 as the 34th branch of SM Hypermaket opened along Felix Avenue (former Imelda Ave.) in Cainta, Rizal.

The new store brought some festive mood to Cainta recovering from the recent calamity as it opened with exciting promos and discounts. There were also celebrity meet and greet segments which included Georgina Wilson, Jake Vargas and Tippy dos Santos.

Papa Dan of 97.1 Barangay LS also entertained first day shoppers, plus trivia games for extra fun before the store opened at 3pm..

It was a rainy opening day indeed, but it did not prevent the people from flocking to SM Hypermaket Cainta. Congratulations to SM Hypermarket and may you continue to “serve happily.”

SM Master Chefs‘ ‘Kitchen Makeover‘ will have five lucky shoppers’ kitchens redesigned and furnished by partner designers. This project will be done in partnership with established designers from the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID).

The five Interior Designers are IDr. Vianca Añonuevo, IDr. JC Arcega, IDr. Mark Steven Perez, IDr. Joselito Soriano, Jr., and IDr. Anne Marie Christine Lim. The first three are partner interior designers of Empire Designs. The latter two are partners of Soriano-Lim Interior Design.

Kitchen Makeover Mechanics

July 1 to October 31, 2011

1.    To join, interested shoppers must submit:

• P500 single receipt purchase, including at least one sponsor item of SM Master Chefs, entitles a customer to join the promo.
• Registration forms will be available at the Customer Service Counter of SM Hypermarket.
• Registration forms must be filled up with his/her complete name, address, age, occupation, contact numbers, signature and a written answer, in 50 words or less, to the question: Why does my kitchen deserve a free makeover?
• Attached at least three (3) clear printed photos of their home kitchen.
• Enclose filled up registration forms and pictures in an envelope and drop on the designated drop boxes at the Customer Service counters of all SM Hypermarket branches.

2.    All entries shall be delivered by the branches to Marketing Head Office at the end of deadline.
3.    There will be a total of five (5) winners of Kitchen Make-Over.
4.    SM Hypermarket Marketing staff shall go through all entries and pick one winner at each judging date.  DTI representative shall be invited to witness the selection of winners.
5.   Winners will be notified via registered mail and phone.
6.    An interior designer shall design a kitchen for the winner. He/she shall also determine the items that will
be used. Items shall be purchased at SM Hypermarket.
7.    The winner should be the owner of the kitchen or if rented, must have written consent of the owner.
8.    Employees of SM Hypermarket, all sponsors, it’s partners, its affiliates, and all companies and individual directly or indirectly connected with SM Hypermarket, its agency Ad Targets, Inc. and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity are disqualified from joining the promo.

Control Measures:

All registration forms shall be submitted after the deadline of submission of entries to the marketing office for safekeeping under the custody of the Marketing Manager. A DTI representative will be invited to be present in the determination of winners. Per DTI-NCR Permit No. 4959, Series of 2011

That’s why when I heard SM Hypermarket is introducing their newest finds; I could not pass the opportunity to join them during the launch.  True enough, I am happy to share with you healthier options that are very economical and worth your every peso.
