Rockeoke Dinner with the Greenwich Barkada and Crispy Chicken
Greenwich Barkada
It was a fun night of music, good food, and bonding. It was my second Rockeoke Night with the Greenwich Barkada a few weeks ago at the Greenwich Katipunan branch in celebration of the successful campaign of the Greenwich Crispy Chicken.
As expected, the program started with hesitant singers who just need some prodding before they gave in. I’m always game for these things but not that night because I think I was about to get the flu. But just  like in high school, we sometimes give in to peer pressure. 🙂 I was actually with my fellow blogger and fiance Marjorie so we gave a duet just like what we did the first time a few months ago, but with a more daring song this time around.
The Greenwich team was also very game as they joined us in taking turns with the microphone. Thanks to “Ang Banda Ngayon” who supported us all through the fun night. The lady DJs also  joined us in the rockeoke.

Congratulations again to Greenwich for their successful Greenwich Crispy Chicken campaign. May Greenwich continue bringing about innovative a great-tasting products for its customers. Check them out at http://www.greenwich.com.ph/ ; Greenwich delivery is 5-5555.
School Spirit Boost with new Jollibee University Floats Flavors
When it comes to displaying school pride, students will go the extra mile to stand out and be creative. This is how Jollibee adds fun to its refreshing twist of the all-new refreshing flavors of Jollibee University Floats.

DJ Gino Boi
Upon invitation, we had a sort of fun ‘braniac’ trivia game with other blogger teams last week. I was assigned to the green team representing the Green Honeydew Float. The other teams are Blue BerriesFloat, Yellow Pine-Orange, and Red Apple Float. Unfortunately, we lost; nonetheless we had a fun afternoon.
Jollibee Float
The Jollibee University Floats are available for only P28 (regular) or P38 for a giant size. You can also upgrade any regular value meal to Go Float just by adding P21.
Have you seen the recent Jollibee commercial? It showed today’s busy and hardworking moms finding it a challenge to get home in time and prepare for a special family dinner. So the father and the kids tried to take on the chore of cooking and the kitchen ended up in a mess, and still without dinner.
When the mother came home, she comforted the family that they could always order through the 8-7000 Jollibee Express Delivery hotline. 🙂 The advertisement highlighted that serving delicious meals can be enjoyed by the whole family with just a phone call.
“Whether daddy wants a piece of crispylicious Chickenjoy, kuya craves for a bite of Champ, ate loves the tasty and meaty Jollibee Spaghetti or bunso wants a delightful cup of Chocolate sundae, busy moms can have all these delivered right at their doorsteps in time for dinner.“
Jollibee treats can be easily made available at home allowing moms to have quality time with the family. So when you are caught in the same situation, just dial 8-7000 (Jollibee Delivery) or log on to www.jollibeedelivery.com (Metro Manila only) . For the complete list of delivery numbers, check out www.jollibee.com.ph.
I celebrated my personal birthday a few weeks ago and aJollibee cake made by Red Ribbon found its way into our home.:)
It was a big fondant chocolate cake with a big and cheerful printed Jollibee mascot on top. A fitting cake for a day of merriment.

Chef Laudico
However, I was further surprised when I came home to our QC house last Sunday (two days ago) and found a Chef Laudico brownies box in our refrigerator. It was accompanied by a birthday greeting card saying:
“Happy Birthday. Hope you’ll enjoy this box of brownies especially and exclusively prepared by Chef Jackie Laudico…“
Wow, that sounds special, albeit belatedly.:)
I opened the box and found a set of ten elongated brownies. Something different from the usual square ones we see. And indeed, the taste was exquisitely premium. More than just the average brownie, it was a luscious mixture of the brownie; plus the roasted nutscaramelized cashew on top. I can’t exactly distinguish what kind of nut but it’s most probably cashew.
Chef Laudico Brownies - the Best!
It was so good. This is one of the best brownies I’ve had. I think this due to the good chocolate mixture highlighted by the crunchy and premium-tasting roasted walnutscaramelized cashew on top. Yum!
Birthday Card
I searched the Net including Chef Laudico website (http://www.cheflaudico.com.ph/) but didn’t find the brownies, not even its name.
And lastly, the card indicated:
“We have made a donation under your name to the Virlanie Foundation and the Autism Society of the Philippines.”
NomNom Club
What a warm feeling of goodwill done in your behalf for your birthday. Thank you GeiserMaclang, Stratworks, and Jollibee, you have made my birthday this year more special.
So what is an Eclipsemovie post doing in NomNomClub?
It’s because Jollibee recently sponsored an Eclipse Block Screening in Podium Mall in its first day of showing. At the same time, NomNomClub had a private contest for its foodie club members.
We met at the cinema venue, where she got the ticket and the Jollibee Eclipse promo meal with the Eclipse tumbler of her choice. The three main character’s faces are on the tumblers: Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).
Aside from the fact that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was better than its predecessors mainly because there were more action (personal view), I believe Marizel enjoyed the whole experience as well.
Jollibee Eclipse Movie Screening; Brent Javier (rightmost)
Thank you to Jollibee for the invites. If you are a Twilight Saga / Eclipse fanatic, you may get those limited edition tumblers with any Jollibee Burger Meal or Hotdog Value Meal by adding P25. If 1 tumbler is not enough, get 3 tumblers with any purchase of Jollibee Barkada Meal for P275; which also comes in a special themed box. 🙂
In a recent Jollibee Breakfast Joys breakout party, Jollibeeintroduced their new Sausage and Egg Pandesal with a surprise performance involving the members of the media.
Jollibee Breakfast Joys Breakout with Bloggers Arpee, Ryan and Eric
Jollibee Sausage and Egg Pandesal
It came as a surprise when fellow morning diners and strangers begun standing up, singing, and dancing. This was followed by media practitioners from print and TV. Then suddenly, fellow bloggers Eric, Arpee, and Ryan who were with us at the table, also broke out into a song and dance number.
Jollibee Breakfast Meal
The Jollibee Sausage & Egg Pandesal I was holding almost fell of my hand. However, naturally, I had to put it down for a while as my blogger instincts kicked-in and powered up my camera – I took pictures and a video of the once-in-a-lifetime chance to record a song and dance number by some of the most prominent food bloggers in the country. 🙂
Here’s the short video of fun and celebration :)Â :
Jollibee Breakfast Joys Breakout with Food Bloggers
The online community is abuzz since yesterday about the said fastfood chain cameo appearance of Jollibee in the latest episode of the American hit TV series Glee.
=================================== May 19, 2010 – 1pm UPDATE
The video of Jollibee appearing in Glee is now out proving the authenticity of the photo above. Apparently, it appeared much more than once. 🙂
Jollibee is considered to be the biggest fast food chain in the country. It has also branches / stores in other countries including the United States of America which makes the cameo appearance not impossible.
I checked out the sources of the photo and it led me to this (with a more specific post here) and this.
Aside from the question of the photo’s original source, its authenticity is more important. As this blog pointed out:
“But is this for real?” – quoted from Technogra.ph
If it is, it can be an effective viral marketing strategy for Jollibee (like what’s happening now) especially that the said American TV series Glee is a big hit nowadays to the younger generation both locally in the Philippines and abroad.
On a completely off-topic side note (except that the two mentioned fast food chains are industry competitiors), NomNomClub has a new McDonald‘s ad on the header and below this article. Feel free to check it out especially if you are a CATS musical fan looking forward to watch the Cats Now and Forever Musical here in the Philippines. 🙂
Sounds familiar? I bet. But this is not your chocolate bar snack, it’s your chocolate flavored Jollibee Sundae.
Jollibee Sundae Toppings
Perhaps trying to move beyond the seasonal stereotype of having Jollibee sundaes only during a hot day or summer, Jollibeeis trying to gear their sundae concoctions as something you’d want during a break.
To let call center professionals experience a similar break from work, Jollibee recently visited Sykes Asia call center in Marikina City and surprised them with a Jollibee Sundae treat.
It came in three flavors: Rocky Road Brownie Sundae, Black Forest Sundae, and Chocolate Sundae. The target was for about 600 call center agents to experience the sweet and satisfying break with their colleagues..
Syjes Asia Call Center Agents
Yes, I was there. Lucky me,…or so you thought. I had a bad case of colds and cough that day so I had to endure watching them with my favorite servings of sundae.
Jollibee Sundae and Toppings
Although my favorite is the vanilla sundae cone, you can have more options with Jollibee‘s Rocky Road Brownie Sundae and the Black Forest Sundae priced at P36, while the Chocolate Sundae is at P29.
For my personal opinion, although the generous serving of chocolate syrup makes you feel the worth of your buck, I think it can get overly sweet. I hope for more of my sundae and lesser of the chocolate syrup.
A follow up to the earlier Christmas hangover post is a charity-related event where Jollibee‘s Christmas Caravan went to Silangan Elementary School in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
This is part of Jollibee‘s “MaAga Ang Pasko” program where they collected children’s used toys through theor Christmas boxes in all Jollibee branches nationwide.
After the collection period, the toys were cleaned and washed in partnership with a commercial laundry group and some volunteers.
Then from hereon, they selected a number of public schools from different locations around the Philippines. One of which is the Silangan Elementary School.
Celebrity/Actor Aga Muhlach
Jollibee MaAga Ang Pasko
A school ravaged by last year’s typhoon Ondoy (Internaitonal typhoon Ketsana), Silangan Elementary School was still in the process of recovery when we went there last December of 2009.
Interestingly, this event opened the first day of their classes as well. (School operations stopped while the school was under construction and rehabilitation from the typhoon).
In line with this, Jollibee will be assisting the school in its recovery efforts.
All the students gathered at the school gym with its stage prepped-up for the program.
More Photos as a movie:
And of course, the celebrity model for the Jollibee MaAga Ang Pasko program is none other than Aga Muhlach. Aga spearheaded the program after two stage presentations from the school’s student representatives. Aga Muhlach went around the school as well before helping in the distribution of the Jollibee MaAga Ang Pasko toys and gift packs to the students.
Jollibee Christmas Caravan
The Jollibee Christmas Caravan was a long trip from Manila to Laguna but it was all worth it having seen the happy faces of the children and students.
