NomNom Club just had a food trip over the last weekend in Pasig City. For most, the mention of Pasig is usually equated with Barangay Kapitolyo as a foodies’ haven. But SM Center Pasig, along the corner of Julia Vargas and E.Rodriguez Jr., is adding to the foodie options of residents and customers in the area.
What was fascinating about it aside from the food, is that we had the food tour for the whole day! Yes, it was for the whole day! We started at 11am and it ended past 8pm!
Although I left earlier at 5pm, I was able to try 7 restaurants within the span of 6 hours. In total, the other foodies and bloggers went through taste-testing for a total of 13 restaurants for almost 9 hours!
SM Center Pasig Restaurants
To start off, we had an early lunch at Kuya J’s with sumptuous servings of Sisig, Dinamita (with Chorsizo inside), and scallops, among others.
It was such a filling lunch as all the dishes that were served was very good. In particular, the Pata Family and Kare-kare (top photo) are my personal favorites.
Next stop was Turkey, oh I mean, the Turkish restaurant Doner G.
From the Philippines’ best dishes, we next had a taste from the Mediterranean side with Ottoman’s Platter (P600) consisting of Chicken Shish Kebab, Kortie Shish Kebab, Chicken Pirzcla, and Turkish Meatballs.
I believe this is the highlight at Doner G fitting for group dinners and brakadas looking for a Mediterranean fix.
Other dishes include Chicken Fita Pocket (P120), Beef Pita Pocket (P150), Turkish Style Grilled Chicken (P180).
Chatime is best known for their milk teas. And we thought so too!
The surprise for most is that Chatime also served other dishes besides their best-selling milk teas! We tried different variants of hamburgers, fries, and more food.
I love the Chatime burger with pastry buns the most!
Oriental food lovers will find their favorite Japanese dishes here at Hanako.
We had a quick bite of xx, and xx, among others. But their gyoza was unforgettable for me. You have to try it too!
Chinese classics such as lomi and pansit were served at Classic Savory.
It was a good treat as Chinese food is almost a staple at home since my husband has Chinese blood.
It’s an American food fare at the Burger Joint as we had a feast of burgers, burgers, and burgers!
The servings were huge and was a feast to the eyes and our stomachs. We tried some hotdogs and nachos too.
You’d never go wrong with Krispy Kreme’s glaze donut. Partner that with a cup of Krispy Kreme coffee and you have a perfect snack afternoon snack.
We were able to create and design our own Krispy Kreme donut as well with the help of some of their crew. (photo above)
7 restaurants, 5 hours!I had to leave for a personal errand but there’s more!
If you’d ever go on a food trip yourself, you can also try a cornucopia of flavors for your gastronomic feast with these other restaurants I missed:
On the positive note, I think I just listed 6 reasons why I should go back to SM Center Pasig! (and this time with hubby!)
