No Turning Back at One Way Street Restaurant
Wine Lessons 101

Wine Lessons 101

The odd name of One Way Street Restaurant derives from its neatly tuck location at the corner streets of Salcedo and Benavidez in Legaspi Village in Makati; they are both one-way streets.

It was my first time in the restaurant cum bakery which is known for their European comfort food sourdough breads and pizza. This was also the starting point of the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 “18-hr Challenge” to which Lenovo Philippines invited us to join. (More about the challenge as a whole at LetsGoSago.net next week)

As the first stop of the ‘metro tour‘, we had wine lessons 101 while we were served some of the best dishes from One Way Street.

Two of the three sourdough pizza we had were the Pamplona Pizza and the Carbonara Pizza. The former is a combination of Spanish chorizo, arugula, cherry tomato & lemon dressing. The latter was composed of mushroom, bacon, white wine, & cream sauce.

Both were very good actually. One of the best pizzas I had in Makati. You should not miss the Carbonara Pizza though.

All the entree were matched with a number of white and red wines among which are Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling , and Chardonnay.

We also had the Chilean Black Mussel in White Wine & Cream and the Chef’s Pate’ Platter.

To end the sumptuous dinner in a sweet note, we had the soft Creme Brulee.

Know more about One Way Street Restaurant at Our Awesome Planet. The restaurant is owned by Consul Joe with some of his friends. We got to meet him too as he was very hands-on that night. He took our photo as well somewhere along the program. 🙂

The first challenge held at One Way Street Restaurant was a light and swirling night with great food and some of the best wines in town. Indeed, there’s no turning back! Stay tuned at NomNom Club for more of the food-related challenges in the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 8 “18-hr Challenge” Metro Tour.
