I love pizza. When deciding on food for our brood to feast on or simply hungry, pizza is among the top items on my mind. So when NomNom Club received an invitation to try out what Mad For Pizza has to offer, I didn’t have second thoughts of trying it out.
Customizing the Pizza
I came to discover that Mad for Pizza lets you create your own pizza style where customers can choose from 4 different types of pizza base – the Classic, Herb, Spinach and Garlic Parmesan dough – to start with.
This is followed by a selection among 4 pizza sauces namely the House Pizza, Fra Diablo, Roasted Garlic Alfredo and Barbeque Sauce. These sauces serves to complement the crust that would heighten the Mad for Pizza experience.
The last step is selecting our well-loved toppings. You would never run out of choices in identifying your favorites from over 40 pizza toppings!
For cheese lovers, Mad For Pizza‘s topping selections has 9 cheese varieties including mozzarella, cream, ricotta, romano, asiago, feta, provolone, bleu and parmesan.
My Own Mad For Pizza
For my choice of Garlic Parmesan dough, I choose to pair it with the aromatic Barbecue Sauce and a combination of mozzarella, cream and parmesan cheese. I also added some mushrooms to complement the all-meat pizza flavor I had in mind. It will balance the taste in case it turns salty due to all the meat.
Moreover, I had some ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage, crumbled meatballs, bacon and steak for the ultimate pizza overload dream topped with more mozzarella cheese before it hit the oven.
The resulting product was good balance between crunch and softness. My pizza crust was light and crisp just as how I hoped it to be.
This toppings all-you-can pizza is a good deal at Php 280. I had fun making my own pizza as well. It was a bit challenging to harmonize the garnishes together to create my original pizza.
On the other hand, if you are not that adventurous or pressed for time, you may opt to choose from Mad for Pizza’s preset pizzas offerings: Justin’s Favorite, Anya’s Creation, or Andross Choice; each prized at Php 250.
Mad for Pizza also serves other dishes such as American and Mexican food as it aims to cater to customers of all ages.
You can have some Fried Zucchini (P158) for an appetizing starter. Wrapped in seasoned flour, it is an interesting alternative to french fries. It comes with homemade marinara and honey mustard dips.
Another option is the Beef Stew pasta (P198) which has an appetizing spicy flavor. It reminds me of a beef taco with its strong herby meaty taste. It is anything but subtle.
All-time casual-diners’ favorite Buffalo Wings (P268) is also on the menu! If food zing is what you are looking for, these awesome half kilo of hot and spicy chicken wings are for you. Of course, it is best paired with beer; or cocktails if you may.
As for beverages, Mad for Pizza also serve local draft beers and premier brands like Hoegarden and Stella Artois to go with your oven-fresh pizzas. For non-alcoholic drinks, you may want to try the Frozen Iced Tea (P88) which is a refreshing blend with crushed ice..
