I was expecting a good night of tapas and wines at Tapeo in BGC, but I got more.

Santa Rita Tapas Night
Beyond just the usual tapas and wine, we experienced a slice of Spain in an evening of Spanish post structural flair consisting of an engaging Flamenco dance and excellent wines from Santa Rita. It was a great combination together with the unlimited delectable tapas.
These and more were what transpired last October 1, 2015 as the famous Chilean wine, Santa Rita, hosted a night of tapas and tannins described above.
Santa Rita wines are from Chile and has the sole mission/vision of making people’s moments enjoyable. That night, Santa Rita featured a combination of its “120 Winesâ€, Sauvignon Blanc, Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Personalities who graced the event included actor/model Vince Velasco, celebrities Julia Clarete and Natalia Moon, model/YouTube sensation Moana, and Magic 89.9’s Andrew Santiago.

Paella a la Tapeo
The first Santa Rita Wine we tasted was the Vina Santa Rita 120 Savignon Blanc. It has a bright and young finish with hints of apples and apricots on the nose blend with grass herbs notes. A refreshing white wine indeed.
The second was Vina Santa Rita 120 Carmenere. It’s a red wine full of ripe re fruits & spices, medium to the palate, and has a good balance of fruit & spice with a soft lingering finish.
Lastly, and the second red wine, is Vina Santa Rita 120 Cabernet Sauvignon. Cherries and cloves dominate its fruity flavor with hints of caramel and vanilla. It also leaves a smooth finish for a medium-bodied wine.
The unlimited tapas has choices among cocido (callos / lengua), empanadas, crooqietas, montados (smoked salmon / artichoke), pinchos, and paella, among others.

Legend of 120

Santa Rita 120
According to legend, 120 patriots, exhausted after a long, hard battle during the fight for Chile’s independence, reached the land belonging to Santa Rita. On that fateful night in 1814, these forces of liberty found refuge in the estate cellars. Today, within these same cellars, the award-winning 120 wines are crafted to honor their heroic character.
