Starbucks (Asia) recently realized through a study, that Asians prefer to experience their teas, when otherwise hot, with an icy-smooth texture.
“Our research shows that consumers in Asia continue to gravitate towards beverages with textural and visual appeal, which has led to a growing interest in frozen products,” shares Davina Patel, global food and drink analyst at Mintel, a global market intelligence agency which follows food and beverage trends in Asia.
So to address this demand, coinciding with Starbucks’ launch anniversary of Starbucks Teavana in 2016, Starbucks just announced earlier today, the introduction of a whole new way to experience tea with the Starbucks Teavana Frozen Teas.

The former is Starbucks’ signature Chamomile Tea is added with whole Kyoho grapes to deliver a visual and textural distinction. It is mixed with honey white grape puree and bits of aloe for additional texture.
As a new beverage, it provides a cool, sweet and refreshing flavor to your chamomile tea.
On a side trivia, the Kyoho “Giant mountain grapes†from Japan, are skinned, pitted and left whole to maintain their texture.
The second one is a union of Hibiscus, tropical papaya and mango, and hints of cinnamon and lemongrass with the  signature Hibiscus tea. The pomegranate pearls complement the tea with the lightly sweet and tart flavor of real pomegranate juice.
Both Teavana Frozen Teas are also available Iced Shaken.
