Pinoy and Proud

Today is Philippine Independence Day; which is one of the most important national holiday for Filipinos. It symbolizes their pride in their history and culture.

And as the late and former president Diosdado Macapagal once said:

I end with the proud declaration of the truth that the Philippines is irrevocably a land of freedom. The love for freedom is the outstanding trait of the Filipino.

And one of the national symbols of Filipinos in the aspect of food is Jollibee! Currently, the season is appropriately celebrated by the brand in a #PinoyAndProud spirit through a series of campaigns that stirs the Filipino pride and joy in each if us.

#PinoyAndProud

In a recent press event held last May 31, 2016, Jollibee introduced their grandest Independence Day campaign called “#PinoyAndProud: Ang Sarap, Ang Saya Maging Pilipino!”

This campaign closely follows two successful Pinoy pride celebrations from Jollibee. 2014’s “Foreignoy” campaign related the stories of foreigners who consider themselves Pinoys at heart, while 2015’s #HappyBdayPilipinas compiled wishes, hopes, and promises of the Filipino citizens.

In this light, Jollibee adds new, exciting, and definitely Pinoy twists this June as they launched products and collaborations that brings out the loud and proud Pinoys in everyone.

Things to definitely watch out for this June are: a new Pinoy Pride tune to sing along to, Jollibee and friends’ new look, as well as well-loved Pinoy favorites in Jollibee’s menu!

“Being a homegrown Pinoy brand is always a source of immense pride for Jollibee,” said Francis E. Flores, Jollibee Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Marketing. “This year, we are celebrating the amazing Filipino spirit and our unique traits that put the sarap and saya to being Pinoy.”
